June Luncheon | Tuesday, June 11th

from 16.00

Make the Most of your Summer!

Who doesn’t love summer in Sandpoint? With beautiful mountains, a breathtaking

lake and countless trails, there is a plethora of things to do to maximize your

summer experience in Sandpoint.

This month, 7B Women will host a panel of speakers who will present some unique,

fun ideas you may not have otherwise thought of to help make this your best

summer yet!

One of the speakers featured at the June luncheon is Dani Demmons who serves as

the Director of Family Programs and Activities at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

Dani started in her field as a snowboard instructor at Sierra at Tahoe. Over the

course of a number of years, and after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in

Recreation Management from the University of Montana, Dani and her husband

moved to Sandpoint in 2006. While she initially worked as the Snowsports School

Supervisor, she spent the summer supervising Schweitzer camp and shortly

thereafter was hired as the Schweitzer Activities Manager. After 11 years in

management, Dani recently added oversight of the KinderKamp childcare facility to

her job description and was promoted to Family Programs and Activities Director of

Schweitzer Mountain Resort in fall 2018. You may know her from her years cruising

back and forth across the village at Schweitzer or many know Dani from her “on the

side fun” job teaching swim lessons at the YMCA. At Schweitzer, Dani oversees many

activities and is known for her creative ideas, innovative program development and

love for kids. She loves to design “things to do” that suit the needs of any crowd.

Also joining the panel will be  Cami Murray form Kaniksu Land Trust. Cami was born

and raised in Sandpoint and spent most of her summers playing outside, usually

lounging around on the dock. She spent a few years exploring the world after high

school, earning a Master’s degree in Museum Studies and spending summers in Italy

and New York City, among other places. She’s still pretty sure Sandpoint is the best

place in the world to spend the summer, and she will share with the audience some

of what has brought her the most joy.

As the Outreach and Development Coordinator for Kaniksu Land Trust, Cami says

one of her favorite things about her job is getting to play outside and explore

beautiful new places.
